Niji no Umi: Arena is my latest project. It is a pretty neat one, and it is so awesome I can't wait to run it. Every day it expands more and more, and yet remains so complex people can even run it while I am not there.
My intentions for this are to make a series of reference guides so people can play as they want. The way this goes is when people meet certain requirements and trigger the proper events, the next 'Act' is set.
An 'Act' is a period where the Era did not quite change, but if it were a chapter in a book it would have turned. Something where plot twists and turns, but the time period is the same. After enough 'Acts' are done, a new Era will trigger, sending technology and other things into an incredible change.
I need to do several things to make this playable to MY specification. By playable, I mean enough to mess around with and not really play the main story yet.
Necessary Ingredients for Beta Testing:
A Complete Feats List (At least enough for people to have much more versatility, I'm thinking about three times what I've got right now)
To Finish my Skill System (I haven't done enough for people to successfully craft skills. I have the system itself down, I just need to make more keywords for it. I need to finish the nearly done Target spell list, then make the physical list and self list.)
Make quite a few more encounters (The ones I have right now can suffice, but I want more diversity. This needs to rock harder!)
Design my Building System to where it's fluid and coherent (It must make sense, and it must kick ass.)
Finish my NPC list for Era 1-3 (Then we can go through some of the Eras, and it won't be limited to the starting age.)
Complete the Human Bloodline system (I need to basically make there be the chances of having descendants and stuff. You'll see what I mean.)
Populate forests with different grades of wood (And make it where you can harvest them accordingly)
Populate mountains with different grades of metals (Necessary for technological advancement as created by the players)
Then Beta Testing can commence, as far as I am concerned. While the Beta Testing is going on, I will be making stuff for the later generations and expanding what I currently have down for the game.
Any suggestions go ahead and throw them at me, they may very well likely end up in here! The most popular growing list today is our Feats list. Read it over and if you have any good ideas submit them to me via PM or write them to the group "Unlimited Nanie Works" on Facebook, either on the wall or via mail.
Your ideas I take seriously and I intend to make this as versatile as possible. Don't be afraid to get involved!
